Meeting and Exceeding Industry Standards with Inherent Safety: Our Comprehensive Approach to Designing Machines for the Unexpected

Safety by design means engineering protection into a machine from its first concept, not bolting it on later. At Schedio, we anticipate the unexpected, designing equipment that keeps operators safe even in case of procedural error or misuse. From new builds to the retrofitting of existing lines, our approach has shaped over 300 machines designed, manufactured and delivered to the pharmaceutical industry.

Working closely with each client, we build safety into every stage of the design process, meeting and exceeding industry standards and regulations. The result reduces risk and the likelihood of errors, and at the same time improves efficiency, lowers costs and streamlines production. By designing for safety and performance together, we deliver equipment that protects people without slowing the process down.

Our safety by design helps pharmaceutical clients handle the meticulous procedures, developments, and changes during the entire process to help reach the final outcome.

Our approach begins with a close study of each client's process. We map how the equipment will be used, where exposure or error can occur, and what the process demands in terms of containment, cleanability and ergonomics. From this analysis we shape design choices that protect the operator without altering the result the process is meant to deliver.

Central to this is designing for the unexpected. Even with trained operators and controlled environments, mistakes happen, so our equipment is built to keep people safe even in case of misuse. Whether we engineer a new machine or retrofit an existing line, the same principle applies: safety and performance are designed together, never traded one for the other, across the more than 300 machines we have delivered to the pharmaceutical industry.
